Join Victorian Greens Leader Ellen Sandell and help protect Greater Gliders!

The Wombat State Forest contains the most westerly population of the endangered Greater Glider.

Wombat Forestcare are a committed group of nature-lovers who survey areas of the forest to spot Greater Gliders. They mark the trees Gliders live in to protect them from planned burns.

On Saturday 5 September, Ellen will join them and we hope you will too!

Schedule

• 6:00pm: Arrive at Werribee River Picnic Area, Blakeville-Bunding Road. From Ballan turn off on Western Freeway, take the road to Daylesford for about 11k and turn right into the Blakeville-Bunding Road. The picnic ground is about 600m along the road. You will need to make your own way there.
• 6:30pm: Starts getting dark. Earliest Gliders start coming out.
• 7:00pm: Dusk. Peak Glider spotting time!
• 8:00pm: Join other Glider-spotters for dinner at a pub in Ballan (optional)

You will need:

• Walking boots
• Warm clothes and jacket
• Torch
• Binoculars (optional)

Registration is essential.
